Lawyer Profile

Sarah received her Juris Doctor 2016 and Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in 2017, both from the University of Saskatchewan. She was called to the bar in 2017 and has been practicing since.

Sarah has a broad experience in both child protection and criminal matters, including property-related crimes, homicides, domestic violence offences, sexual offences, drug trafficking, weapons charges, drug production and distribution, Youth Offences, and DUI/Impaired Driving offences. She has represented victims in sexual assault trials for applications in which they are entitled to counsel. She has appeared at Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal. 

With regard to child protection, Sarah has experience representing parents as well as First Nations with delegated agreements with the Provincial Government. She is a staunch advocate for her clients and understands how to respond to their needs and advance their positions in court. In addition, Sarah has worked with First Nations developing and implementing their own child protection systems under Bill C-92, worked with First Nations’ who have implemented their own child protection and dispute resolution mechanisms, and has experience consulting on Indigenous Board Governance.

Sarah is an active member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, the Saskatoon Criminal Defence Lawyers Association, and the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. She volunteers her time with Pro Bono Saskatchewan, and is on the Board of Governors for the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association.
