McKenzie attended the University of Saskatchewan where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2019 before completing her law degree in 2022, graduating with distinction. McKenzie was the recipient of the University of Saskatchewan Upper Year Academic Achievement Scholarship in 2021. During law school, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, and later served as the Saskatchewan Chapter Coordinator.
McKenzie was called to the bar in 2023. Before joining Gryba Gratton, McKenzie articled and worked in private practice on matters involving debtor creditor disputes, human rights, labour and employment, medical malpractice, and insurance. She later worked as counsel with the provincial government in the area of child protection, appearing regularly at the Court of King’s Bench. McKenzie joined Gryba Gratton in 2026.
McKenzie maintains a practice focused on child protection, with additional experience in adoption matters and across a range of civil and administrative law issues.
Outside of the office, McKenzie serves on the boards of animal welfare organizations and enjoys spending time with her dogs, travelling, and getting outdoors.
